MRCP Part 1 is not structured like an undergraduate finals exam. Endocrine questions frequently combine two or three concepts in a single stem — for example, interpreting a hormone panel and deciding on management in the same question.     Audit before you revise. Before adding more study hours, run a diagnostic block of questions across all systems and look at your accuracy by topic, not just your overall score. A flat 60% average can hide a 40% in pharmacology and an 80% in dermatology — very different revision priorities.

    Revise pharmacology and renal medicine as standalone blocks, not as footnotes within general medicine revision. These are the two areas where "I'll pick it up as I go" most reliably underperforms dedicated, focused sessions.
